The Star Theatre Planetarium is an easy way to recreate the night sky in any of the rooms in your house. The ultra white LED lights on the planetarium project an almost realistic star gazing experience in your own home.

If you’ve ever been to a planetarium, you may have been amazed by what you saw, well this little gadget brings the same technology to you so you don’t have to leave your house to have the same experience.

The planetarium is easy enough to work. Simply, turn it on and relax. However, there are a few extra settings which make it even more attractive. For one thing, you can set the planetarium to project shooting stars every now and again to create an even more amazing experience that perhaps you can’t achieve very often with the real night sky.

To work the planetarium, you need to insert one of two slide discs that come in the box. This decides which collection of constellations you’re in the mood for.
It measure just a little more than 15cm3 so won’t fill the room with anything but space, so to speak! The device needs to either be plugged in using the included adapter, or be powered from 4 x C batteries which aren’t included unfortunately.

For all this, and a wonderful, relaxing experience, the Star Theatre Planetarium comes in at at a price around $215, but I’m pretty sure there are people out there who would welcome one of these this Christmas, particularly those who are interested in outer space and astronomy.
