The new generation of ZWO’s 2" filter drawer has been thoughtfully redesigned to make filter changes faster, easier, and more reliable than ever. Built with an anti-light-leak design, it effectively eliminates stray light issues during long-exposure astrophotography, ensuring cleaner, more consistent results.

The Gen 2 model introduces a refined mechanical housing for improved precision and compatibility with modern imaging setups. It features strong double magnets that keep the filter drawer securely in place while still allowing smooth insertion and removal. A side locking screw lets you fine-tune the tension of the holder, completely eliminating any gap—providing a firm, vibration-free fit even when using heavy imaging accessories.

Designed for 2-inch mounted filters (M48x0.75), this version offers M42x0.75 male thread on the camera side and M48x0.75 female threads on both the filter and telescope sides. The included M48–M42 adapter ring makes it easy to integrate with a wide range of accessories and helps you reach the correct 21 mm backfocus distance without extra extension rings.

With a compact 70 mm diameter and 21 mm thickness, this filter drawer is ideal for setups where space and precision matter—such as HyperStar or RASA systems—while remaining lightweight at only 125 g.
