Description
Transform your telescope into a safe solar observing station with the 9.49″ ID Meade Full Aperture Glass Solar Filter.
Crafted with an aluminum housing and reflective helios solar glass, this filter blocks a remarkable 99.999% of incoming sunlight, providing a white-light view of the Sun’s photosphere. This allows for clear observation of sunspots, surface granulation, and other solar phenomena, all while ensuring the safety of both your eyes and equipment.
The filter’s ISO certification guarantees compliance with stringent safety standards, and its easy attachment system with thumbscrews ensures a secure fit on your telescope. Manufactured in the USA, the Meade Full Aperture Glass Solar Filter is a testament to quality and reliability.
This 9.49″ (241mm) Glass White-Light Solar Filter is compatible with Meade’s:
- LX90 8″
- LX200 8″
- LX70 8″
- LX85 8″ ACF
Warning: Meade White-Light Solar Filters are intended only for closed tube telescopes. Do not use them with open truss designs (such as the Meade 10, 12, and 16″ LightBridge Dobsonians), as incident sunlight allowed in by the open tube design could cause damage to the telescope optics and potentially irreversible eye damage. A light shroud is not sufficient protection from harmful solar rays.
