Description
Description:
The MAGUS Lum 400 Fluorescence Microscope is a powerful tool designed for both diagnostic and research applications in fluorescence (reflected light) and brightfield (transmitted light) microscopy. It offers versatility with optional accessories for darkfield, phase contrast, and polarization techniques, expanding its utility across various fields such as DNA analysis, pathogen studies, epidemiological surveillance, and forensic examinations.
Optics:
Featuring a trinocular design, this microscope boasts a 30° inclined binocular head with a trinocular tube for seamless integration of a digital camera (sold separately). Its 360° rotatable eyepiece tubes ensure easy adjustment for user comfort. With a revolving nosepiece accommodating up to five objectives, including four infinity plan achromatic objectives and a specialized fluo objective with 40x magnification for fluorescence observations, the MAGUS Lum 400 offers exceptional imaging capabilities.
Illumination:
Equipped with a 100W mercury lamp for reflected light source, housed within an efficient lamphouse ensuring optimal heat dissipation, even during prolonged usage. Four excitation filters (ultraviolet, violet, blue, and green) enable precise fluorescence imaging. Additionally, a 30W halogen bulb serves as the transmitted light source, providing ample brightness for all magnifications. The Köhler illumination method enhances image clarity and minimizes artifacts in both transmitted and reflected light modes.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism:
Featuring an ergonomic stage design without a positioning rack, along with a removable specimen holder for added convenience. Coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs, with a lock knob and tension adjustment for coarse focusing, ensure precise focus adjustment.
Accessories:
The MAGUS Lum 400 can be augmented with various accessories, including digital cameras, phase contrast devices, polarization devices, darkfield condensers, additional eyepieces and objectives, as well as darkfield and phase contrast sliders. For precise measurements, a calibration slide can be added to the configuration.
