MAGUS CHD20 Digital Camera
The MAGUS CHD20 Digital Camera is expertly designed for microscope integration, allowing for high-quality photo and video capture, editing, and precise measurement of object dimensions. The camera operates on its built-in software, facilitating direct connections to computers and external screens via HDMI and USB interfaces.
The camera delivers Full HD images (1920x1080px) with high frame rates and rapid data transfer. Featuring a Sony sensor with exceptional light sensitivity, it excels even in low-light or fluorescent conditions. The RGB mosaic filters minimize dark current, ensuring clear, undistorted images, even for moving subjects.
Sensor
Equipped with a Sony Starvis series color CMOS sensor (1/2”, 3.75×3.75μm pixel size), the MAGUS CHD20 offers high photosensitivity (1175mV at 1/30s shutter speed). Backlight technology enables superior performance in low-light conditions. For optimal field of view without distortion, use an adapter with 0.5x to 0.7x magnification.
Software
The included software on the installation disk allows the MAGUS CHD20 to function autonomously, capturing and processing photos and videos, and conducting measurements. Calibration with a calibration slide is necessary for precise measurements.
Connectivity
The MAGUS CHD20 connects to external screens and computers via HDMI (60fps) and USB (50fps) interfaces. It comes with a 32GB SD card for saving and processing images directly on the device. A USB port supports flash drive connections. The included mouse helps mitigate vibrations during direct camera interaction.
Mounting on a Microscope
Install the camera into the microscope’s eyepiece tube using a C-mount adapter and adapter ring (purchased separately), or use a C-mount adapter for the trinocular tube. The camera is compatible with special MAGUS monitors for a complete microscope imaging system.
