MAGUS CHD30 Digital Camera
The MAGUS CHD30 Digital Camera is engineered for seamless integration with microscopes, enabling high-quality photo and video capture of observed specimens. This versatile camera offers the convenience of Wi-Fi connectivity for computer pairing and HDMI interface for direct external screen connection. It features frame rates of 25fps or 60fps, depending on the connection type. Autofocus functionality ensures sharp images, simplifying the capturing process. The camera delivers Full HD resolution (1920x1080px), providing clear, detailed visuals without distortion.
Sensor
Equipped with a Sony color CMOS sensor, the MAGUS CHD30 boasts a 1/1.9” sensor size and 3.75×3.75μm pixel dimensions. The back-illumination technology enhances light sensitivity (1120mV at 1/30 second), allowing for effective imaging even in low light conditions. For optimal field of view without distortion, an adapter with 0.5x to 0.75x magnification is recommended.
Software
The MAGUS CHD30 comes with built-in software for autonomous operation. This software facilitates photo and video capture, image editing, and measurement of linear and angular dimensions. When connected via HDMI, the frame rate reaches 60fps, ensuring smooth video playback. Calibration slides are necessary for precise measurement calibration with each objective. The camera also supports Wi-Fi connectivity for 25fps video recording on a computer.
Microscope Installation
The camera can be mounted on a microscope either through the trinocular tube or by replacing the eyepiece in the eyepiece tube. Both installation methods require a C-mount adapter, and an additional adapter ring is needed for eyepiece tube installation.
Additional Devices and Accessories
Enhance your workflow by connecting additional devices to the MAGUS CHD30. Use a mouse to minimize vibrations from direct contact with the camera. Save photo and video materials directly to an SD card. The camera is also compatible with special MAGUS monitors, which can be mounted directly on the device to create a comprehensive visualization system.
