MAGUS Metal VD700 LCD Metallurgical Inverted Microscope
The MAGUS Metal VD700 LCD Metallurgical Inverted Microscope is designed for examining the microstructure of metals, alloys, and semiconductors using reflected light. It features a stage that can hold samples up to 2kg, with only the bottom surface needing to be flat. The microscope supports brightfield and polarized light observations, making it ideal for various laboratory and production applications. It includes a side camera port and a trinocular tube for enhanced versatility.
Digital Camera
The MAGUS CHD20 Digital Camera comes with a 2MP sensor, delivering realistic Full HD images at a resolution of 1920x1080px. It boasts high light sensitivity, perfect for fluorescent light work. The camera uses R, G, B primary color mosaic filters to achieve low dark current and clear images. It connects directly to a TV, monitor, or projector via an HDMI interface, allowing for autonomous operation without a PC. An additional USB2.0 interface is available for PC connection. With a frame rate of 60fps or 50fps, the camera ensures smooth video recording without freezes or lags, providing vivid and detailed images.
Monitor
The MAGUS MCD monitor complements the MAGUS CHD camera, creating a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes. Connecting via HDMI, the monitor displays real-time images with its 13.3” IPS LCD screen, offering wide viewing angles, high brightness, and excellent contrast. The monitor can be positioned on a horizontal surface using a folding stand or mounted on a camera or tripod.
Optics
The microscope features a specially designed trinocular head with adjustable eyepiece positions and 180° rotation capability. The digital camera mounts on the side camera port, and the monitor mounts on the trinocular tube. Beam splitting options include 100:0/0:100 on the body and 50:50/100:0 on the trinocular head. The revolving nosepiece under the sample holds five objective slots, all included in the basic configuration, with infinity plan achromatic objectives offering long working distances. The microscope provides magnification from 50x to 1000x in its basic setup.
Illumination
The reflected light illuminator uses a 30W halogen bulb with adjustable brightness, powered by an AC power supply. It supports brightfield and polarization microscopy techniques, with Köhler illumination setup and centering along three axes. The system includes color filters and removable polarization devices (analyzer and polarizer) for enhanced color rendition and microscopic photography.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism
The microscope features a large stage (242x200mm) with a round stage plate that has 10mm, 20mm, and 30mm holes. Specimens are secured with a specimen holder, and the stage moves along two axes. Coarse and fine focusing knobs, along with adjustable tension and a lock knob, ensure precise image sharpness.

The MAGUS Metal VD700 LCD microscope supports a range of accessories, including eyepieces, long working distance plan achromatic objectives, calibration slides, and digital cameras, enhancing its capabilities for various applications.
