Description
MAGUS Bio D230T LCD Biological Digital Microscope
The MAGUS Bio 230T is a high-performance biological trinocular microscope designed for laboratory and research applications in medicine, pharmaceuticals, forensics, and biotechnology. This versatile instrument is ideal for observing flat biological translucent and transparent specimens such as thin sections and smears. Utilizing achromatic objectives and a powerful halogen bulb, it employs transmitted light microscopy (brightfield) for detailed sample study. The microscope’s design accommodates additional accessories for darkfield, phase contrast, and polarized light microscopy techniques.
Digital Camera
The MAGUS CHD10 digital HDMI camera is equipped with a 2MP sensor, delivering realistic Full HD images with a resolution of 1920x1080px. This autonomous camera requires no computer connection or additional software installation, allowing direct connectivity to a TV, monitor, or projector via HDMI for high and stable data transfer rates. It records video at 60fps, ensuring smooth, vivid videos with no frame freezes or gaps. The camera’s high FPS and HDMI bandwidth guarantee detailed, delay-free images, making it ideal for observing moving samples.
Monitor
The MAGUS MCD monitor complements the MAGUS CHD camera, creating a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes. Connected via HDMI, the monitor displays real-time images with its IPS LCD offering wide viewing angles, high brightness, and good contrast. The 13.3” screen ensures undistorted images even from large angles. The monitor can be placed on a horizontal surface using a folding stand or mounted on a camera or tripod.
Optics
The trinocular head features a vertical tube for mounting a digital camera (not included), facilitating the creation of digital archives and image output to external monitors. Observation tubes can be rotated 360° for height adjustment, with the left tube equipped with a diopter adjustment ring. The revolving nosepiece, oriented inward, accommodates up to five objectives (four included), providing magnification from 40x to 1000x in the basic configuration. With additional eyepieces, magnification can reach up to 1500x, 1600x, or 2000x.
Illumination
A 30W halogen bulb produces warm-spectrum lighting, reducing eye strain during extended use and ensuring high brightness and contrast. The height-adjustable, centering Abbe condenser, coupled with adjustable iris and field diaphragms, allows for Köhler illumination setup, enhancing image clarity. The condenser’s slot accommodates phase and darkfield sliders, streamlining technique switching.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism
The mechanical stage, devoid of a positioning rack, facilitates easy operation and smooth specimen movement. The removable mechanical attachment allows for manual scanning. Coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs provide smooth, effortless adjustments, with a lock knob and tension adjustment for the coarse focus. Positioned at the microscope base, the knobs ensure comfortable hand placement during long observations.
Accessories
The MAGUS Bio 230T microscope’s capabilities can be further enhanced with a range of accessories, including eyepieces, objectives, digital cameras, calibration slides, darkfield condensers, and devices for polarized light and phase contrast microscopy.
