Description
The MAGUS Bio D230TL LCD biological digital microscope is an essential tool for laboratories and research centers in fields such as medicine, pharmaceuticals, forensics, and biotechnology. It is designed for observing flat, translucent, and transparent biological specimens, including thin sections and smears. The microscope features a trinocular head, a 3W LED transmitted light source, and infinity achromatic objectives, making it suitable for brightfield microscopy in its basic configuration. With additional accessories, it can support darkfield, polarized light, and phase contrast microscopy techniques.
Digital Camera
The MAGUS CHD10 digital HDMI camera, equipped with a 2MP sensor, delivers realistic Full HD images at a resolution of 1920x1080px. This autonomous camera operates without needing a PC connection or software installation. It can connect directly to a TV, monitor, or projector via an HDMI interface, ensuring high and stable data transfer rates. The camera records video at 60fps, providing smooth, vivid footage with no freezes or gaps. High-resolution images are detailed, and object movements are displayed seamlessly, thanks to the SONY Starvis color CMOS backlit sensor, which offers low noise levels and high light sensitivity.
Monitor
MAGUS MCD monitors, when combined with MAGUS CHD cameras, form a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes. The HDMI-connected monitor displays real-time images on a 13.3” IPS LCD screen, offering a wide viewing angle, high brightness, and good contrast. The image remains clear and undistorted even when viewed from large angles. The monitor can be placed on a surface with a folding stand or mounted on a camera or tripod for flexible installation.
Optics
The trinocular head allows for 360° rotation, enabling easy adjustment of the eyepieces to fit the observer’s height. The left tube features a diopter adjustment ring. The microscope uses infinity achromatic objectives, and the nosepiece can hold up to five objectives simultaneously, with one slot left free for additional objectives. The revolving nosepiece is oriented toward the interior, keeping the space above the stage free. The magnification range is from 40x to 1000x, extendable up to 1500x, 1600x, or 2000x with additional eyepieces.
Illumination
The 3W LED bulb ensures consistent color temperature when adjusting illumination, with a lifespan of 50,000 hours and powered by an AC power supply. The Abbe condenser includes a slot for darkfield or phase sliders, facilitating quick technique changes. The microscope also features a field diaphragm for Köhler illumination setup. The height-adjustable condenser can be centered for optimal image clarity.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism
The stage allows smooth and accurate specimen movement, with a removable mechanical attachment for manual scanning. The absence of a positioning rack simplifies operation. Coaxial fine and coarse focusing knobs are located on both sides of the microscope, allowing the user to comfortably rest their hands on the table. The focusing mechanisms move smoothly, with a coarse focusing tension adjustment knob and a lock knob for stability.
Accessories
The MAGUS Bio D230TL LCD microscope can be enhanced with various optional accessories, including eyepieces, objectives, darkfield and phase contrast condensers, polarization devices, digital cameras, and calibration slides, to meet specific application needs.
