Description
The MAGUS Bio 250B biological microscope is an essential optical instrument for studying thin transparent and translucent specimens. Primarily using brightfield microscopy in transmitted light, this microscope is versatile, with options for darkfield, phase contrast, and polarization techniques through additional accessories. Its high-quality optics, user-friendly mechanics, and smart design make it ideal for laboratory work, research, and educational purposes.
Optics
The binocular head allows mounting a digital camera in one of the eyepiece tubes (camera not included), and the tubes can rotate 360° for observer comfort. The left tube features a diopter adjustment ring.
The revolving nosepiece accommodates 5 objectives, including infinity plan achromatic objectives that provide clear, high-contrast images. One slot remains available for an additional objective. The nosepiece is oriented inward, keeping the space above the stage free and allowing the user to see the objectives in the optical path.
In its basic configuration, the microscope offers magnification from 40x to 1000x, with the option to increase magnification using additional eyepieces.
Illumination
The 30W halogen bulb provides uniform, bright illumination suitable for any observation method, including darkfield and phase contrast techniques. The warm light spectrum is comfortable for prolonged viewing.
The Abbe condenser, which includes a slot for a darkfield or phase slider, simplifies and accelerates the switch between research techniques. It is height-adjustable, centerable, and features a field diaphragm for Köhler illumination setup.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism
The stage has a removable mechanical attachment for manual scanning and operates without a positioning rack for ergonomic use.
Focus adjustment is achieved with coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs on both sides of the microscope body, offering smooth and precise control. The coarse focusing mechanism includes a lock knob and tension adjustment. The knobs are located at the bottom for added comfort during long work sessions, allowing the user to rest their hands on the table.

The MAGUS Bio 250B can be customized with a wide range of accessories, including eyepieces, lenses, darkfield and phase contrast devices, polarization tools, calibration slides, and digital cameras.
