Description
The MAGUS Bio 230TL Biological Microscope is an essential tool for sanitary control laboratories, diagnostic centers, and research facilities. Featuring a trinocular head and LED transmitted light source, it is ideal for observing translucent and transparent samples. Initially configured for brightfield observations, it can be enhanced with additional accessories to support darkfield, polarized light, and phase contrast microscopy techniques.
Optics
The microscope’s observation tubes rotate 360°, allowing easy adjustment to the observer’s height. The left tube has a diopter adjustment, and a vertical tube is available for mounting a digital camera (not included). It utilizes infinity achromatic objectives, with the capacity to hold 5 objectives simultaneously on the revolving nosepiece, leaving one slot for an additional objective. The magnification range is from 40x to 1000x, expandable to 1500x, 1600x, or 2000x with additional eyepieces.
Illumination
The 3W LED bulb ensures consistent color temperature when adjusting brightness and has a lifespan of 50,000 hours. The microscope is powered by an AC power supply. The Abbe condenser includes a slot for darkfield or phase sliders, facilitating quick switching between microscopy techniques. Additionally, the microscope is equipped with a field diaphragm for Köhler illumination, with the condenser being height-adjustable and centerable.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism
The stage allows for smooth and precise specimen movement, with the mechanical attachment removable for manual scanning. The stage design, without a positioning rack, simplifies operation. Coaxial focusing knobs are located on both sides of the microscope for comfortable use. The fine and coarse focusing mechanisms operate smoothly, with a coarse focusing tension adjustment knob and lock knob.
