Description

MAGUS Metal D630 Metallurgical Digital Microscope

Description

The MAGUS Metal D630 metallurgical reflected light microscope is designed for examining the microstructure of opaque objects of any height and size, making it ideal for analyzing metals, alloys, semiconductors, and paint coatings. Utilizing brightfield and polarized light microscopy techniques, this compact microscope is perfect for laboratories with limited space. It is a versatile tool suitable for industries, research centers, and university departments.

Digital Camera

The MAGUS CBF30 Digital Camera is engineered to capture high-quality photographs and videos through the microscope. It supports file editing, presentation creation, and linear and angular measurements of objects after proper calibration. This camera is optimized for brightfield microscopy and works well with 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives.

Featuring a 6.3MP sensor, the camera delivers bright, detailed photos and videos at a maximum resolution of 3072x2048px. The resolution can be reduced to 1536x1024px without affecting the frame rate, which remains at 59fps to ensure smooth, jerk-free transitions. The SONY Exmor backlit color CMOS sensor provides excellent performance even in low-light conditions, maintaining readability and brightness. An adapter with a magnification range of 0.5x to 0.75x ensures a clear, distortion-free image.

Optics

The microscope’s optics are infinity-corrected, and the trinocular tube for camera mounting is positioned vertically. The light beam can be directed to either the eyepieces or the trinocular tube. The camera is not included in the basic configuration. The 30° inclined binocular head allows for comfortable long-term use, with diopter correction available on the left eyepiece to accommodate the user’s eyesight.

The revolving nosepiece has five slots, with four plan achromatic objectives included. One slot remains available for an additional objective. These long working distance objectives are designed specifically for brightfield microscopy.

Illumination

The MAGUS Metal D630 uses only reflected light illumination. The system includes a polarization device, an aperture diaphragm, and a field diaphragm. The 30W halogen bulb provides comfortable lighting for extended use without causing eye fatigue. The diaphragm and light source can be centered, and Köhler illumination setup is available. Color filters are also included to enhance imaging.

Stage and Focusing Mechanism

The unique design of the stand and focusing mechanism offers two significant advantages: compact size and the ability to observe samples of any height. The microscope can be easily placed on laboratory furniture up to 40cm in height. The two-axis stage is ideal for examining small specimens, and the coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs ensure smooth and accurate adjustments. Coarse tension adjustment is also available.

Accessories

The microscope can be enhanced with optional accessories, including long working distance objectives, eyepieces, digital cameras, and calibration slides.
