The Lunt 80mm LS80MT/B1200R&P Universal OTA is a high-performance, modular telescope designed for both solar and nighttime observations. With an 80mm aperture and FPL53 ED doublet lens, this telescope offers stunning clarity and precision, whether you’re exploring the Sun’s dynamic surface or observing deep-sky objects at night.
Solar Observations: In H-alpha mode, the integrated etalon filter (bandpass <0.65Å) reveals solar prominences, filaments, and surface granulation with exceptional detail. The Doppler True Pressure Tuning system allows for fine adjustments, enhancing contrast and sharpness.
Nighttime Observations: After sunset, easily convert the LS80MT into a high-end ED refractor by removing the H-alpha module. Its rack & pinion focuser ensures precise focusing for lunar, planetary, and deep-sky observations.
A True Universal Telescope
With optional accessories, the LS80MT can be adapted for:
- CaK solar observations (393.4nm wavelength)
- White light solar viewing using a Herschel wedge
