Description

Nikon Eclipse Ti2-U Inverted Microscope for ICSI

The Nikon Eclipse Ti2-U Inverted Microscope for ICSI is a state-of-the-art imaging system purpose-built for delicate micromanipulation procedures such as Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). With Nikon’s world-renowned CFI60 optical system, ergonomic design, and specialized ICSI-compatible features, this microscope delivers unmatched stability, clarity, and precision for assisted reproductive technologies.

🔬 Optimized for Micromanipulation & ICSI

ICSI demands absolute optical clarity, vibration-free operation, and precision positioning. The Ti2-U addresses all three:

  • High NA Objectives with long working distances ensure crystal-clear views of oocytes and sperm.
  • ICSI-ready stage with smooth travel and stability for holding pipettes and injection needles.
  • Wide field of view and multiple output ports simplify micromanipulation and video documentation simultaneously.

Whether you’re observing spindle integrity or injecting a single sperm cell into an oocyte, the Ti2-U delivers the optical performance needed for confident ICSI work.

💡 Precision LED Illumination

Equipped with the Ti2-D-LHLED high-power LED Lamp House, this system provides consistent and heat-free transmitted illumination—critical for maintaining sample viability during sensitive ICSI procedures. The Ti2-D-PDI Illumination Pillar offers backward tilting and vertical movement (66 mm stroke), ensuring ergonomic access and accurate focusing under micromanipulation systems.

🔍 Clear, Flexible Viewing Options

  • Manual intermediate magnification switching (1.0× / 1.5×)
  • CFI 10X Eyepieces with 22 mm field number
  • 4-position optical output port, allowing split light for real-time observation and digital recording (eyepiece 100%, right 100%, left 100%, or 80/20 split)

🧫 IVF & ICSI Stage Design

The TC-S-SR Stage is specifically engineered for IVF/ICSI use:

  • Stroke range: ±57 mm (X), ±36.5 mm (Y)
  • Extremely stable platform for precise manipulation
  • Compatible with the Ti2-S-HL Long Handle for smooth stage control
  • Supports micromanipulation devices and holding pipettes

🔄 Nosepiece & Condenser System

  • Ti2-N-N Sextuple Nosepiece: 6 manual positions, waterproof structure, fast switching between objectives
  • Ti-C NAMC Condenser (N.A. 0.4): Supports phase and NAMC contrast for oocyte visibility
  • 7-position Condenser Turret: Accommodates various contrast modules including 10X, 20X, and 40X NAMC

Nikon Advanced Modulation Contrast (NAMC) observation

The Nikon Advanced Modulation Contrast (NAMC) technique enables high-contrast observation of colorless and transparent samples through plasticware. NAMC produces a pseudo-relief shading effect, ideal for ICSI.

🧪 Spindle & Contrast Imaging

  • Spindle Observation System (Ti2-C-SO): Enables non-invasive observation of the meiotic spindle, helping to determine oocyte maturity before ICSI
  • NAMC Polarizers and contrast modules provide high-contrast images of transparent structures without fluorescent dyes

Note:

ICSI stands for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection, and IVF stands for In Vitro Fertilization. They are related but not exactly the same:

🔹 IVF (In Vitro Fertilization):

  • A woman’s eggs are collected and mixed with sperm in a lab dish.

  • Fertilization happens naturally (one sperm penetrates one egg).

  • Once embryos develop, one or more are transferred into the uterus.

🔹 ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection):

  • A form of IVF, but more advanced.

  • Instead of letting sperm and egg meet naturally, a single sperm is injected directly into an egg using a fine needle.

  • Used when there are sperm-related fertility problems (e.g., low count or poor motility).
