The optical quality of the Celestron Nexstar 8 SE is superb and produces sharp and bright images with no chromatic aberration or distortion. The aperture is 8 inches, the focal length is 2032 mm, and the focal ratio is f/10, making this telescope ideal for both wide-field and high-magnification observations.

The Celestron Nexstar 8SE comes with a fully automated GoTo mount that can locate and track over 40,000 celestial objects with the push of a button. The SkyAlign technology allows you to align your telescope in minutes by pointing it at any three bright objects in the sky. You don’t need to know the names or positions of the stars, just let the telescope do the work for you.

Celestron Nexstar 8SE Computerized Telescope

The Celestron Nexstar 8SE also has a unique single fork arm design and a sturdy steel tripod that make it easy to transport and assemble. The telescope weighs only 32 lbs and can be broken down into separate components for convenient storage and travel. The telescope is compatible with a variety of accessories, such as eyepieces, filters, star diagonals, and red dot finders, that can enhance your viewing experience.

Solar Warning

  • Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
  • Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
  • Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present.
