Coronado Adapter Ring for 40mm Double Stack Filter
This adapter ring is essential for doubling the stacking capability of an SM40 external primary etalon, enabling the double stacking of an original 40mm Coronado telescope like an SMT40.
By employing double stacking, the original 0.7 angstrom bandpass of the Hydrogen-Alpha telescope is reduced to 0.5 angstrom, significantly enhancing the observation of surface features such as granularity and active regions on the Sun.
It’s important to note that this adapter ring is solely necessary for stacking an additional etalon onto the original SM40. It’s not needed for newer systems like the SME-40, SMIII, or PST. Please note that the telescope and double stacking filter are sold separately.
