Description

MAGUS Pol D800 LCD Polarizing Digital Microscope

The MAGUS Pol 800 Polarizing Microscope is designed to study anisotropic objects in polarized and ordinary transmitted light. Ideal for examining biological, geological, and polymer samples, this microscope is equipped with strain-free optics to eliminate parasitic refractions, providing clear, high-contrast images. This versatile instrument is essential in various scientific fields, including medicine, forensics, mineralogy, petrography, and crystallography.

Digital Camera

The MAGUS CHD40 Digital HDMI Camera features an 8MP sensor and supports three video interfaces, offering automatic switching between 4K and Full HD resolutions based on monitor capabilities. It delivers realistic 4K images (3840x2160px) via HDMI or USB3.0 and Full HD (1920x1080px) via Wi-Fi. The camera operates autonomously when connected through HDMI, ensuring high-speed and stable transfers directly to a TV, monitor, or projector. The camera supports video recording at 30fps, ensuring vivid videos without freezes or frame gaps.

Monitor

The MAGUS MCD40 Monitor, with a 13.3-inch IPS display, is designed for use with the MAGUS microscope visualization system. It supports MAGUS 4K HDMI cameras, offering bright images with wide viewing angles. The monitor can be mounted on a folding stand or directly on the camera or microscope stand, ensuring versatility and convenience.

Optics

The trinocular head includes a tube for mounting a digital camera, with a switch to direct light completely to either the eyepieces or the camera. The eyepiece tubes are angled at 30° for comfort during extended use, with a diopter adjustment ring on the left tube to accommodate individual vision needs. The revolving nosepiece holds up to five objectives, with four included in the package, all compatible with 0.17mm thick cover slips. The “away from the observer” revolver design enhances convenience by making the objective in the optical path clearly visible.

Illumination

Featuring a 30W halogen bulb, the microscope provides bright, eye-friendly transmitted light illumination suitable for all objectives. The Köhler illumination method is adjustable for higher contrast and improved image quality. Equipped with a polarizer and analyzer, the microscope facilitates polarized light work, with the ability to rotate the polarizer and analyzer for varying polarization angles. An intermediate attachment with a Bertrand lens and a slot for compensators enhances contrast for samples with low birefringence and supports conoscopic studies.

Stage and Focusing Mechanism

The rotating stage allows for quick changes in light refraction when working in polarized light, centered relative to the optical axis with gradation and a scale for precise angle determination. The focusing mechanism includes both coarse and fine adjustments, with a lock for coarse focusing and adjustable coarse tension for optimal control.

Accessories

A wide range of optional accessories, including eyepieces, objectives, digital cameras, and calibration slides, expand the microscope’s capabilities, enabling researchers to tailor the instrument to their specific needs.
