MAGUS Metal 650 Metallurgical Microscope
Description
The MAGUS Metal 650 Metallurgical Microscope features a large stage suitable for examining photomasks, printed circuit boards, integrated circuits, and other long and wide specimens in reflected light. This versatile microscope supports brightfield and polarized light observations, ensuring high precision focusing with a fine focusing scale value of 0.7µm. Ideal for industrial research and engineering education, this microscope excels in both professional and academic settings.
Optics
Equipped with infinity plan achromatic optics, the MAGUS Metal 650 delivers sharp, well-detailed images. The trinocular head is inclined at 30° and includes a trinocular tube for mounting a digital camera (not included). This allows capturing photos and videos of studies, with the option to output images to an external screen. The microscope features a two-position beam splitter (100:0 and 0:100), directing the light beam either to the eyepieces or the camera. The left tube also has a diopter adjustment ring.
The revolving nosepiece can hold five objectives, all included in the package, with magnification ranging from 50x to 800x in the basic configuration. Additional objectives can be installed for higher magnification. The nosepiece is oriented inward, allowing users to easily see the objective in the optical path.
Illumination
The microscope’s reflected light illumination system includes three centering elements: light source, aperture, and field diaphragm. The 30W halogen bulb emits warm, eye-friendly light, with adjustable brightness to prevent eye fatigue during long periods of use. The system supports Köhler illumination and includes a polarization device with a built-in analyzer and a detachable rotating polarizer. A set of color filters is also included.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism
The microscope features a large 280×270 mm stage, movable along two axes within 204mm, ideal for observing large samples. The coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs are located on both sides of the microscope, with a lock knob and coarse tension adjustment knob for precise control. The ergonomic design allows users to maintain a comfortable position during observations.
Accessories
A wide range of compatible accessories is available for the MAGUS Metal 650, including eyepieces, long working distance objectives, digital cameras, and calibration slides. These accessories expand the microscope’s capabilities, making it a versatile tool for various applications.
