Description

MAGUS Metal VD700 Metallurgical Inverted Digital Microscope

Description

The MAGUS Metal VD700 Metallurgical Inverted Microscope is ideal for studying the microstructure of metals, alloys, and semiconductors in reflected light. Designed for brightfield and polarized light observations, this microscope can handle samples up to 2kg, requiring only the bottom surface to be flat. The other parts of the sample can be of any shape. It features a side camera port, a trinocular tube, and is suitable for a wide range of laboratory and production applications.

Digital Camera

The MAGUS CBF30 Digital Camera allows for high-quality photographs and videos through the microscope. It supports editing, presentation organization, and linear and angular measurements (after proper calibration). Suitable for brightfield method and objectives ranging from 4x to 40x.

  • High Resolution: 6.3MP sensor captures bright, detailed photos and videos at 3072x2048px, with an option to lower the resolution to 1536x1024px without affecting the frame rate (59fps).
  • Low-Light Performance: The SONY Exmor backlit color CMOS sensor ensures clear, bright images even in low light. An adapter with 0.5x to 0.75x magnification provides distortion-free images.
  • Seamless Integration: High frame rate for smooth video transitions without delays.

Optics

  • Adjustable Eyepieces: Trinocular head with adjustable eyepiece positions and 180° rotation.
  • Flexible Mounting: Digital camera mounts on the side camera port; monitor mounts on the trinocular tube.
  • Beam Splitting: 100:0/0:100 on the body and 50:50, 100:0 on the trinocular head.
  • Objective Slots: Revolving nosepiece with 5 objective slots (all included), allowing magnification from 50x to 1000x. Infinity plan achromatic objectives with long working distances.

Illumination

  • Bright Illumination: 30W halogen bulb with adjustable brightness, suitable for all objectives.
  • Advanced Setup: Köhler illumination setup with light source centering on three axes.
  • Polarization Devices: Removable analyzer and polarizer, and color filters for enhanced microscopic photography.

Stage and Focusing Mechanism

  • Versatile Stage: Large (242x200mm) stage with round stage plates (10mm, 20mm, 30mm holes) for specimen fixation.
  • Smooth Movement: Stage moves along two axes, with coarse and fine focusing knobs for image sharpness adjustment. Coarse knob tension is adjustable with a lock knob.

Accessories

A wide range of additional accessories are available, including eyepieces, long working distance plan achromatic objectives, calibration slides, and digital cameras, to maximize the capabilities of the MAGUS Metal VD700 microscope.
