Description
MAGUS Pol 800 Polarizing Microscope
Exceptional Clarity for Anisotropic Object Analysis
Description
The MAGUS Pol 800 Polarizing Microscope is engineered for the detailed study of anisotropic objects in both polarized and ordinary transmitted light. Ideal for examining biological, geological, and polymer samples, this microscope provides clear, high-contrast, and authentic imaging without parasitic refractions. Its versatile functionality makes it suitable for various scientific fields, including medicine, forensics, mineralogy, petrography, and crystallography.
Optics
- Trinocular Head with Camera Mount: The trinocular tube allows easy installation of a digital camera (not included). A switch directs light either to the eyepiece tubes or the camera.
- Comfortable Viewing: Eyepiece tubes angled at 30° reduce neck strain during extended observations. The left eyepiece tube includes a diopter adjustment ring for customized focus.
- Revolving Nosepiece: Accommodates five objectives simultaneously, with four included in the package. Designed for 0.17mm thick cover slips, the nosepiece slots are centered for precise imaging.
Illumination
- Transmitted Light Source: A 30W halogen bulb under the object stage provides bright, eye-friendly illumination suitable for all objectives.
- Köhler Illumination: Adjustable illumination enhances contrast and image quality.
- Advanced Polarization: Includes a polarizer and analyzer, with an intermediate attachment featuring a Bertrand lens and a slot for compensators. This setup allows for detailed polarized light studies and enhances the contrast of low birefringence samples.
Stage and Focusing Mechanism
- Rotating Stage: Centered relative to the optical axis, it enables precise control of light refraction by the sample. Features angle gradation and a scale for accurate angle determination (up to 0.1°).
- Coarse and Fine Focusing: Provides smooth and precise sharpness adjustments. Includes a coarse focusing lock and adjustable coarse tension for comfortable use.

Optional eyepieces, objectives, digital cameras, and calibration slides are available for the microscope. They broaden the capabilities of the microscope for carrying out researchers’ tasks.
