Description
The Antlia LRGB-V Pro series filters are engineered for monochrome cameras equipped with both CCD and CMOS sensors, including models using KAF/KAI sensors, Sony IMX sensors, GSENSE, and other leading sensor technologies. This set is carefully optimized to balance the RGB response for red-sensitive CCD detectors, enabling 1:1:1 equalized RGB exposures. The result is streamlined post-processing, reduced imaging time, and consistently accurate color reproduction.
The filters feature a precisely designed spectral gap between the green and red channels to reduce the impact of light pollution while maintaining high transmittance of essential wavelengths. This design enhances the capture of fine details in faint galaxies and nebulae, while guaranteeing OIII transmission above 95% in both the blue and green channels. The narrowed bandwidth in the blue channel minimizes overexposure and haloing around bright stars.
By blocking the emission line around 589 nm—common in high-pressure sodium and mercury streetlights—the filters improve natural color balance in your final images. Each filter is manufactured to exacting substrate thickness tolerances, ensuring parfocal performance across the entire Antlia range.
Exceptional Color Balance and Optical Precision
Premium optical-grade glass substrates are carefully selected for homogeneity and polished on both sides to achieve exceptional surface accuracy. Multiple layers of advanced anti-reflection coatings are applied to minimize stray light scatter, maximize signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and produce tighter star profiles. The specialized coating design in the blue channel specifically combats blue star bloat, resulting in sharper, more defined stellar images.
Astronomical Imaging at Its Best
For astrophotographers, the Antlia LRGB-V Pro set is an invaluable tool for producing vivid, scientifically accurate images of galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. The high OIII transmission in both blue and green filters boosts detail in emission nebulae, while the R filter’s maximum H-alpha and S II transmission ensures rich structure in red emission regions. Whether you’re imaging faint deep-sky objects or bright planetary nebulae, these filters provide the balanced exposures and crisp star definition needed for professional-quality results.
